There are plans to install wet deposition monitoring samplers at selected sites on a phased basis. Figure 2.16 shows a typical planned site set-up. The NEMN also utilises water quality monitoring carried out on upland lakes by the EPA, which is also reported under the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe International Cooperative Programme 7 on the assessment and monitoring of the effects of air pollution on rivers and lakes.
